A rod implantation won't work.

There's nothing to anchor into,

and the shunt won't last long enough to do reconstruction.

That's the intention.

Nobody has ever attempted this surgery with a bone as large as the femur.

I believe it's a viable option, but there are risks.

I will never forgive myself if Marco died because I made a reckless decision.
